Katherine Marino to be Inducted into Alpha Kappa Alpha

2013 May 16

Katherine Marino, class of 2013, will be inducted into Siena College's honor society, Alpha Kappa Alpha. Membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha is the highest award granted to graduates of Siena College.

Marino is a ACSC major from West Springfield, MA.

AKA members have achieved a grade-point-average of 3-point-5 or higher every year at Siena and they have been selected by Siena's Board of Instruction based on recommendations from a committee of faculty, administrators and students.

Inductees have also lived the Siena College Mission by selflessly serving the poor and marginalized through various service trips and extracurricular activities in the local community and across the globe.

"They are students who have demonstrated academic excellence, students that show an awareness of societal issues and have taken steps to be involved in service and outreach, and in the community beyond just the borders of Siena College," said Siena President Fr. Kevin Mullen '75, O.F.M., Ph.D.
