Founded in 1937, Siena College is a private, Catholic Franciscan, residential, liberal arts college with a student body of about 3,000. Siena College offers 36 degree programs, 80-plus minors and certificate programs, and professional curricula in teacher preparation/education, pre-medical, pre-law and social work. A student-to-faculty ratio of 11-to-1, average class size of 21, rigorous academics, Division I athletics, intramural sports and widespread service and advocacy experiences nurture each student's personal growth while providing the education of a lifetime.

Roman Penn Named MAAC Rookie of the Week

Siena Basketball freshman guard Roman Penn has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week. The Calumet City, Illinois native averaged 13.5 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 64% from the field, 50% from three-point range, and 83.3% from the free throw line in two games last week.

Dorado Earns Fourth MAAC Defensive Player of the Week Honor

Siena Women's Soccer sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Dorado has set a new program single-season record by being named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this fall. The local standout from nearby Guilderland, New York led the Saints to a 1-0 road shutout in Wednesday's regular season finale at Rider.

Women's Soccer Lauded at MAAC Awards Banquet

Six members of the Siena Women's Soccer team were honored for their achievements on the field this season, while a program record 15 were recognized for their successes in the classroom by being named to the All-Academic Team at the MAAC Awards Banquet held at the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Senior captain Michele Tremblay and junior back Amanda Holtzman were heralded as First Team All-MAAC selections, senior captain Madison Vasquez, junior striker Gabby Albano, and sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Dorado earned Second Team acclaim, and freshman striker Darby D'Angelo was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.

Dorado, D'Angelo Claim MAAC Weekly Honors

Siena Women's Soccer sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Dorado has been named the Wilson MAAC Defensive Player of the Week and freshman striker Darby D'Angelo has been tabbed the conference's Rookie of the Week. The duo led the Saints to a perfect 2-0 record last week which featured home victories over Marist and Saint Peter's.

Sobot and Tremblay Named Senior Class Award Candidate

Siena Men's Soccer senior captain Milorad Sobot and women's soccer senior captain Michele Tremblay are amongst a combined total of just 60 Division I men's and women's soccer candidates nationally for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award. Siena College is one of just six Division I schools in the country with multiple candidates joining Army West Point, Dayton, Stanford, South Carolina, and Wake Forest, and one of only five with both a male and female candidate.

Anglim Named to IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll

Siena Women's Lacrosse team has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad. The Saints are one of 310 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA being honored. Cara McQuillan and Lauren Anglim were both named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.

Six Siena Women's Tennis and two men's tennis players were named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team. The women's program was also named an All-Academic Team.

Four Siena Water Polo student athletes were named the the 2017 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic List. 536 student athletes were recognized for producing a grade point average of 3.2 or above.
