Founded in 1937, Siena College is a private, Catholic Franciscan, residential, liberal arts college with a student body of about 3,000. Siena College offers 36 degree programs, 80-plus minors and certificate programs, and professional curricula in teacher preparation/education, pre-medical, pre-law and social work. A student-to-faculty ratio of 11-to-1, average class size of 21, rigorous academics, Division I athletics, intramural sports and widespread service and advocacy experiences nurture each student's personal growth while providing the education of a lifetime.

Every Student Has a Story: Kristian Fields '27

The first verse of Lauren Alaina's 2021 song "Run" ends like this: "...Like the blood in our veins, yeah we're all the same. We - Run." That song changed Kristian Fields' '27 life. He discovered we are, down to the blood in our veins, all the same. And Kristian wants to inspire us all to run.

Saints Around the World: Prague, Czech Republic

The University of New York in Prague offers a three-week Art and Architecture course over winter break. As you might expect, the class explores the art and architecture of the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic. Jefri Caballero '25 spent the first day and the last day of class sitting at a desk. On every day in between, Prague was his classroom.

Ant Rouse '25 was a Siena soccer fanatic long before he was a Siena soccer player. The Albany native went to games as a kid and would try to score autographs from his favorite players. Once, when he was about nine, he grabbed a signature from his all-time favorite Saint, James Beeston '14. Who could have imagined that same signature would one day be on his checks?

Every Student Has a Story: Erin Pendergast '25

Baloo is on a strict diet in Serra Manor, where he lives with his parents, Chuck and Deb Seifert. That's why on hot summer days, Baloo loves it when his "cool aunt," Erin Pendergast '25, takes him out for ice cream. The two best friends also spend time together advocating for dogs who need homes.

Saints Around the World: San Jose, Costa Rica

Emily's one of six Saints spending a January Term in Costa Rica. Each student got to choose whether to spend the three weeks as a volunteer in healthcare, teaching, animal care, or construction. Emily's teaching English to children at a daycare.

In a stupor, Brandon grabbed a flashlight and wearing only his underwear, stumbled into the darkness and toward the water. What he saw next, he'll never forget. And what he did next, saved a man's life.

She's a soccer fan from a soccer-fanatic family (right), and cheering on the New York Red Bulls is among their favorite traditions. For years, she reveled in the action from the stands.
