Founded in 1937, Siena College is a private, Catholic Franciscan, residential, liberal arts college with a student body of about 3,000. Siena College offers 36 degree programs, 80-plus minors and certificate programs, and professional curricula in teacher preparation/education, pre-medical, pre-law and social work. A student-to-faculty ratio of 11-to-1, average class size of 21, rigorous academics, Division I athletics, intramural sports and widespread service and advocacy experiences nurture each student's personal growth while providing the education of a lifetime.

Trashion Fashion

On April 25 the Creative Arts Department and Stage III hosted the fifth annual Hollywood Trashion Fashion event. Taryn Dibble '13, with her costume titled "Connection Disconnection," was crowned champion. Kat Canavan '15, who modeled her design titled "Springtime Red Carpet Stroll," received second place and Erin Griffin '13, with her piece "Ode to Capstone," was awarded third place. Costumes were judged based on runway style, design and creative use of materials.

Area Residents Travel to Italy for Study Tour

During winter break, 22 students, joined eight faculty members on a trip to Italy, the birthplace of the Franciscan tradition on which Siena College was founded. The trip, called “Religious Treasures of Italy,” took the group on a tour around the country, exploring the historic and religious aspects of each city visited, including Rome, Venice, Florence, Assisi and, of course, Siena.
