Charlotte Lussier '25 was named Siena College Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Student of the Week during the Fall 2024 semester.

The first verse of Lauren Alaina's 2021 song "Run" ends like this: "...Like the blood in our veins, yeah we're all the same. We - Run." That song changed Kristian Fields' '27 life. He discovered we are, down to the blood in our veins, all the same. And Kristian wants to inspire us all to run.

Baloo is on a strict diet in Serra Manor, where he lives with his parents, Chuck and Deb Seifert. That's why on hot summer days, Baloo loves it when his "cool aunt," Erin Pendergast '25, takes him out for ice cream. The two best friends also spend time together advocating for dogs who need homes.

Ant Rouse '25 was a Siena soccer fanatic long before he was a Siena soccer player. The Albany native went to games as a kid and would try to score autographs from his favorite players. Once, when he was about nine, he grabbed a signature from his all-time favorite Saint, James Beeston '14. Who could have imagined that same signature would one day be on his checks?

Braden Tims '26 was handed a proposed bill and a highlighter. State Senator Kristen Gonzalez's legislative director then asked his new legislative assistant to review the text and determine whether or not the senator would be in favor of the bill or opposed.

The University of New York in Prague offers a three-week Art and Architecture course over winter break. As you might expect, the class explores the art and architecture of the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic. Jefri Caballero '25 spent the first day and the last day of class sitting at a desk. On every day in between, Prague was his classroom.

Emily's one of six Saints spending a January Term in Costa Rica. Each student got to choose whether to spend the three weeks as a volunteer in healthcare, teaching, animal care, or construction. Emily's teaching English to children at a daycare.

Isabelle Rowley '26 is a WWOOFer. It's one way she's helping to save the planet, while also seeing much more of it. Even if you'd rather not WWOOF, there's an opportunity next month for all Saints to join Rowley's cause.

Miykael Locke '24 had opportunities abroad in Belgium, Italy, and Quebec, but he chose Mexico for exactly one reason. He misses the warm weather from back home.

Doing your own tax return can be complicated and stressful. Having an accountant or tax preparer do it can run you at least a couple hundred dollars, which puts that option out of reach for many. To address this issue while getting useful professional experience, a group of about 30 Siena business students have earned their IRS tax prep certification and are helping local community members prepare and file their tax returns.
